frequently asked questions

Open Mobile renders nontraditional dental hygiene care.  Here are a few answers to some of the questions you may have about our process.

  • What happens during an appointment?

When we bring our services to you, you receive the same comprehensive care you would expect at any top-tier dental office—without the commute. Your personalized appointment includes a thorough medical and periodontal health assessment, a life-saving oral cancer screening, and a gentle, expert removal of plaque and calculus. We conclude every visit with tailored oral hygiene coaching and a fluoride treatment if needed, ensuring your smile remains healthy and bright between visits.

  • What treatment does Open provide?

Open dental hygiene services can include:

*Oral prophylaxis (cleaning of debris, bacteria, deposits, and staining above the gumline)

*Non-surgical periodontal therapies (scaling and root planing in the presence of bone and attachment loss)

*Disinfection therapy

*Dry mouth treatment

*Sensitivity treatment

*Fluoride treatment

*Denture and partial cleaning

*Sealants

*Patient specific oral hygiene instructions and preventive techniques

*Application of topical anesthetics as needed

*Administration of injectable and non-injectable local anesthetics as needed

  • What Do I need to provide at my home or office?

*Open will need adequate space (at least a 7' x 5' space) to provide services in your preferred setting, with access to a sink.

*Access to a standard electrical AC plug.

*A dedicated front parking space for access to unload and load dental hygiene equipment.

  • Do I need to see a dentist?

An annual dental examination by a general dentist is routinely recommended for dental diagnosis and dental treatment. Open Mobile Care can facilitate a dental exam through the cloud with teledentistry. Encrypted sensitive dental data, videos, and images can be sent safely through the software for live streaming or can be saved for later review with a dentist or specialist off site.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

Open Mobile Care is fee for service. Payment is due when services are rendered. Open is not contracted or affiliated with any company that provides dental coverage. Open accepts cash, check, Venmo, or credit card payments. An invoice and completed claim form can be provided on request if you have dental benefits and would like to submit to your insurance to receive reimbursement at your covered level from your dental insurance.
